Well considering that Fifa 08 was released on 09/28/08 last year in the US, this can’t really be considered late. It is later than most sports games that come out, as they are usually out by the beginning of their seasons. I think it does have a lot to do with the summer transfers that are always going on right up to the start of the season.

hope ea brings the gameplay more realistic this time.

fifa 08 came out in 2007 so fifa 09 will come out in 2008 thats the way its always been retard

yeah its fifa09 but we all know its for the 08/09 season so thats why people are complaining and dam right too. we’ve already seen that fifa 08 had 2 updates released after the tranfer windows so why not release a transfer updatefor fifa08 whilst we wait for fifa 09. its just stupid playing online with the teams as of sept07. they should keep on top of these things. after all the games costs us £40 and we pay a stupid £4.99 a month for xbox live so its not like we’re expecting something for nothing. the transfer windows shuts at the end of august. fifa 09 should be released a few days later as the game would already be developed and all it would be waiting on is the player database update. why does it take a month for this. and to think i came back from pro evo. its funny how you call the people asking why its a late release date geeks and idiots. wtf is the point in bringing out a game for half a season? all of you ‘idiots’ going on about it being fifa09 so its being released ‘early’ are just stupid. its called fifa 09 but its 08/09 season so it should be released at the start of the season. and it better be a bit faster and have a better online set up.

people are wondering because spl and epl leagues have already begun. the fact that the title happens to have ‘09 in it does not indicate that it should come out closer to the new year. for all of you who used that as your reasoning, you are officially an idiot

KezZa if you are a fan of the series you would know that the new installment of every fifa series comes out a lil after the beginning of every football season therefore fifa 09 will cover the 08-09 football season and fifa 10 will cover the 09-10 season and so on.thats why we are waiting for it to come out in 2008.idiot

Its always been released the year before the title name… Its because the majority of the season is played in the second year of the season.

Wait and see how the real teams are dealing with the new season. Some good transfers and uefa champions league qualifications will decide which teams will be in form.

Furthermore there is a new feature where players are updated weekly according to their form in the past week, so if someone did poorly that week, he’s stats will drop in game. These stats needs to be realistic to start with, thus needing more games played, though this is not the season for the delay. The transfers and new players are the main reasons, as well as some bugs picked up during finalization of the game.

they release the game late because if they release at the beginning of the season they will be players playing for the wrong teams u dumb asses so shut up u computer geeks and be more athletic i bet u r all fat aswel cuz most of u just sit on your computers and hope the graphics are good for ps3 and xbox 360 and wii

I’ve played a Fifa 09 demo and its what everybody expected. Graphics is better. Movement of the players become much more realistic and a 3D mode is the only reason why shoud u try this game

on the demo, robinho is still at real madrid, and a lot of people hate that, so they are gonna sort it all out or the game wud jst be a waste of time, especially if amr zaki isnt on it

This is the greatest news i have hears about Fifa 09 .

Who cares about the date all we want is the game to come out with the appropriate teams(when the transfer window is closed)and they need a couple of months 2 perfect the game/gameplay so give them a break man…..chill out!

i have alredy pre-ordered it for 50£ and its coming the day after its released which is the 4th of october 2008
